It's Spring. Let's Have A Drink!

Despite first impressions when you look at me, I am old enough to consume an adult beverage! So, it is my pleasure to share these two spring inspired cocktails to pair with your next sushi party:

Melon Sparkler

Makes 1 drink

1 each Melon Ramune

1 Shot Midori

1 Shot Blue Curacao

Squeeze of Fresh Lime

This cocktail speaks to the simple. The sparkler is afternoon and pool friendly. Ramune is a Japanese soda which can be found at any local market for a couple of bucks. The other mix-ins can be purchased at Total Wine or your local liquor store.

Singapore Sling

Makes 4 Drinks

3 oz Gin, ¾ oz per glass

1 oz Grand Marnier, ¼ oz per glass

1 oz Cherry Liqueur, ¼ oz per glass

1 oz Benedictine, ¼ oz per glass

4 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz per glass

4 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz per glass

Club soda, to top

Maraschino Cherry, for garnish

Originally from Singapore (duh!) This cocktail is designed for the evening, and it’s a little heavier on the liquor. The Sling has been a party favorite since the early 1900’s. It’s a classic!
